KIPP Austin Beacon Prep is a middle school serving students in 5th through 8th grade. In our lower grades, we lay the foundation for the academic, intellectual, and character traits that our students will carry with them throughout their time at Beacon Prep and beyond. When students come to us for the first time, they may be several academic years behind their more affluent peers. With this in mind, we will work with urgency to ensure that 100% of students are on grade-level by the time they exit Beacon Prep. We are shaping not only their academics, but also the necessary character traits and habits that they will need to be successful in high school, college, and life. We work as a community to build the necessary academic and character traits that support acts of service and leadership.

Letter from the Principal
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
-Nelson Mandela, A Long Walk to Freedom.

In her free time, she enjoys being with her wife and 2 dogs, running outside, and playing soccer.
