KIPP Austin Comunidad

The community at KIPP Austin Comunidad are committed to providing a transformative educational experience for 100% of our children with the goal of setting students on a path to and through the college of their choice. Our school-wide dual language program emphasizes high academic expectations and character growth in English and Spanish. Our children are empowered to think critically, problem solve collaboratively, and celebrate achievement each day. A big goal of ours is to matriculate students into a KIPP Austin middle school in the 5th grade with the ability to read, write, and speak in both academic English and Spanish, at or above grade in all content areas.

Letter from the Principal

At KIPP Austin Comunidad, we will unite as one team and family to advocate for our students. We will empower our students to own their truth, find their voice, and leverage their individual strengths and talents in pursuit of developing the foundation needed to go to and through college.

About Principal Doyle: Kelly Doyle began her career in education through Teach for America as a first grade teacher in Houston. Kelly then moved to Bastrop, TX and taught third grade for five years, served as the Elementary Math Curriculum specialist, and worked as an Elementary Assistant Principal. When she heard about the dual language program at KIPP Austin Comunidad and knew she wanted to be part of a program that provided opportunities for all students to become fluent in both English and Spanish! Kelly began her career at KIPP Austin as a Miles Fellow. She has served in multiple capacities including an Assistant Principal of Math Instruction and the Assistant Principal of Operations. Kelly also served on the district’s math priority committee. After one year of implementing the recommendations from the committee, KIPP Austin Comunidad earned a math distinction on the state exam and was recognized as a top performer in the KIPP Network on the fourth grade MAP Math assessment. Kelly earned a B.B.A. and an M.S. in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She also earned a M.S. Ed. from Lamar University. Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and four sons, two of which attend KIPP Austin Comunidad
